After winning the program's first regular season championship since joining the American Athletic Conference, head coach Richard Mulrooney has announced Memphis' full 2025 signing class. The class features four incoming freshmen and 16 transfers.
"It's always exciting to bring new players into our squad and this year is no different," said Mulrooney. "As a staff, we feel like we are bringing in some high-character players who will not only help us compete on the field but will also make the culture in our locker room even stronger. You always want to make sure you have quality starters as well as depth at all spots and this class will definitely help us in achieving that."
Carson Banham | Freshman | Forward | Summit Christian Academy | Tulsa, Okla.
Banham joins Memphis after a successful career at Summit Christian Academy, where he was a four-sport letterwinner. He was an All-District and Tulsa All-World selection in 2022, 2023 and 2024. He also was an All-District selection in football, baseball and basketball. He holds the school record of single season goals with 38.
Anthony Grudko | Freshman | Midfielder | Hillcrest School | Simpsonville, S.C.
After a stellar high school career which included a professional appearance with the Greenville Triumph, Grudko makes his way to Memphis. He joins as a three-time All-Region selection and an All-State selection in 2024. Grudko also appeared on the gridiron, earning one All-State selection in football in 2023.
Ignacio "Iggie" Escamilla | Freshman | Midfielder | Bolingbrook High School | Bolingbrook, Ill.
Escamilla finds his way to Bluff City after a strong high school and club playing career. He won the Plainfield North Classic and BODYARMOR Sports Series at Bolingbrook. Coming from Eclipse Select SC, Escamilla was a three-time ECNL Midwest Conference Champion and won the 2022 SuperCopa+ among other achievements.
Miller Lashlee | Freshman | Forward | Lewisburg High School | Byhalia, Miss.
Originally born in Memphis, local product Miller Lashlee joins the Tigers as a two-time All-District selection. Also a two-time All-State selection, once with Lewisburg and once at the club level, he finished his high school career with an ECNL-RL South Region championship.
Abdallah Traore | Sophomore | Defender | Angelina College | Trondheim, Norway
Traore transfers to the Tigers after making 25 starts in defense for Angelina College and was an NJCAA National Tournament qualifier in 2023.
Denis O. John | Sophomore | Forward | Mississippi College | Madrid, Spain
John joins Memphis after two seasons at Mississippi College, where he led the Gulf South Conference in goals during the regular season with nine in 11 matches played. Additionally, he was named to the All-GSC second team.
Michael Holliday | Sophomore | Defender | East Central Community College | O'Fallon, Mo.
After two seasons where he earned All-Region and All-Conference honors with the Falcons, Holliday joins the Tigers back line.
Shaiyon Johnson | Sophomore | Midfielder | Iowa Lakes Community College | Cardiff, Wales
Johnson joins Memphis after two seasons at Iowa Lakes, where he was an NJCAA national champion during the 2023 season, along with being a conference champion in 2024 and earning an All-Region honorable mention.
Johnson recorded six goal contributions (one goal, five assists) while making 20 starts in the midfield for the Lakers.
Ruadhan Feeney | Sophomore | Defender | Iowa Lakes Community College | Derry, Ireland
Feeney joins his former Iowa Lakes teammate, Shaiyon Johnson, in Memphis after recording 11 goal contributions (three goals, eight assists) in 2024. He earned All-Region and All-Tournament team honors in NJCAA Region 11.
He also scored the game-winning penalty in the NJCAA National Championship match for the Lakers.
Samuel Mutiri | Junior | Midfielder | University of Mobile | Tervuren, Belgium
Mutiri finds his way to the Bluff City after three seasons at the University of Mobile. With the Rams, Mutiri made 36 starts with 41 total appearances. He was also named to the All-Southern States Athletic Conference first team and the SSAC All-Tournament team.
Joshua Owens | Sophomore | Midfielder/Defender | University of Montevallo | Alabaster, Ala.
Owens joins the Tigers after starting 26 of his 32 matches played at the University of Montevallo, totaling 1790 minutes played. As a Falcon, Owens registered six goal contributions (three goals, three assists) while appearing as a midfielder and defender.
He was also named to the 2022 MLS Next "Best Of" list.
Aiden Antcliff | Redshirt Sophomore | Defender | Purdue University Fort Wayne | Okemos, Mich.
Antcliff comes to Blues City after captaining the Mastodons of Purdue Fort Wayne as a redshirt sophomore. The defender totaled 25 starts and 31 total appearances as a Mastodon, recording three goals and one assist in 2244 minutes played on the back line.
With Antcliff leading the Mastodon defense in 2024, Purdue Fort Wayne recorded 10 shutouts and only allowed 1.19 goals per game. He was also named to the Horizon League All-Freshman Team in 2023 and was a Horizon League All-Academic Team and CSC Academic All-District selection in 2024.
Florian Grollmann | Redshirt Freshman | Goalkeeper | Academy of Art University | Recklinghausen, Germany
The native of Recklinghausen, Germany comes to Memphis after spending his redshirt freshman season at Academy of Art University (ART U). At ART U, Grollmann started all 17 matches in net for the Urban Knights, tallying 76 saves in 1530 minutes played.
Grollmann also spent one semester at MidAmerica Nazarene University, where he utilized a redshirt year.
Christian Piccolotto | Junior | Midfielder | Malone University | Hamilton, Ontario, Canada
Piccolotto joins from Malone University, where he started in all 35 matches played as a Pioneer. In 2022 and 2024, Piccolotto registered 19 goal contributions (10 goals, nine assists) and recorded just under 3000 minutes played.
He was also named an NCCAA Scholar Athlete in 2024, while also being named to the CSC Academic All-District and Great Midwest Academic All-Conference teams as a junior.
Vincenzo Giordano | Senior | Defender | Christian Brothers University | Canicattì, Italy
Giordano stays in Memphis and rejoins former Buccaneer teammate, Luciano Galizzi. The Italy native, started 27 matches over three seasons at Christian Brothers University, notching four goals and two assists as a defender and logging 2159 minutes played.
Hays Adams | Freshman | Midfielder | Grand Canyon University | Germantown, Tenn.
Adams returns to Memphis after a redshirt season at Grand Canyon. The Houston High School product was a two-time All-State selection and a two-time All-Region selection by United Soccer Coaches as a Mustang.
Eben McIntyre | Redshirt Sophomore | Forward | University of Pittsburgh | Charleroi, Pa.
McIntyre switches from a Panther to a Tiger after three seasons at Pittsburgh, featuring in two. The southwestern Pennsylvania native logged seven starts and 27 total appearances with the Panthers, registering three goals and three assists in 845 minutes played.
While with Pittsburgh, McIntyre was a two-time NCAA tournament qualifier, including being a member of the 2024 Panther squad that reached the quarterfinals.
Fletcher Hedge | Junior | Defender | Bellevue University | Hertfordshire, England
Hedge joins the Tiger back line after three seasons at Bellevue, where he logged 51 starts for the Bruins. Hedge garnered third team NAIA All-American honors in 2023 after recording seven goals and two assists as a center back, also earning first team All-Continental Athletic Conference honors.
Additionally, Hedge was a second team All-CAC selection in 2024 as he helped the Bruins to their third conference title in a row, all with Hedge in defense.
Saad Chaouki | Sophomore | Midfielder | University of Portland | Montreal, Quebec, Canada
Chaouki comes to Memphis after spending 2024 with Portland. With the Pilots, the Montreal native made five starts while logging 13 appearances. In 335 minutes of action, Chaouki recorded one goal.
Prior to joining Portland, Chaouki featured as a starter in 18 matches as a true freshman at Rider University. As a Bronc, he recorded eight goal contributions (two goals, six assists) and was named to the College Soccer News All-Freshman second team and the Top Drawer Soccer Freshman Best XI second team.
Alejo Tangredi | Sophomore | Forward | University of Dayton | Orlando, Fla.
Tangredi becomes a Tiger after two seasons at Dayton. He appeared in ten contests, logging three starts in his first three matches as a true freshman.
