Folks, we did it - we made it to another Nenana Ice Classic Challenge. Picks are live.
A few reminders:
A few reminders:
- Don't forget this is the melting of the Tanana River, not the Nenana River, so keep that in mind when checking conditions
- You can find all kinds of information about this event, including ice thickness measurements and historical data, at www.nenanaakiceclassic.com/ . I can't find info on the site for when Tripod Days are, but I'm assuming it will be sometime in March, per the usual.
- All picks need to be submitted by the end of the day Alaska time on by the end of business on Friday, April 5, 2024. Asking the moderators to please lock this thread at EOD on Friday, April 5, 2024.

Doing my research on the Tanana River now. Clearly I've been basing my predictions on the wrong damned river this entire time. Pick to come! "Nenana Ice Classic Challenge." Who tf names these things?
