Head football coach Jay Norvell has announced a handful of updates to his staff. Matt Mumme has been named the pass-game coordinator and Bill Best will be the run-game coordinator.

"I'm glad to announce the new titles and roles for Matt Mumme and Bill Best," said coach Norvell. "Both coaches have been influential over the years in both those areas of our offense, and I'm excited to have them continue to lead on offense."

Chase Holbrook has been promoted to quarterbacks coach while Bill Best will continue to handle the offensive line. Holbrook is no stranger to the quarterback room, serving as an offensive analyst for the past three seasons in the room. Prior to Fort Collins, Holbrook was at his alma mater New Mexico State for five seasons, coaching quarterbacks and overseeing the signal-callers.

In addition to those updates, Norvell has also added Mike Goff as an assistant offensive line coach and promoted James Finley to wide receivers coach. Goff was on staff as a volunteer in 2024, while Finley was the Rams' tight ends coach the past three seasons.

Coach Goff spent the 2024 season with Colorado State football as a volunteer, assisting with the offensive line. Goff will continue in the offensive room as an assistant offensive line coach. Prior to Fort Collins, Goff made stops at San Diego State, USC and Western Kentucky.

Prior to his coaching career, Goff was a 12-year NFL veteran and was named All-Pro in 2005. His career in the NFL includes runs with the Cincinnati Bengals (1998-2003), San Diego Chargers (2004-08) and Kansas City Chiefs (2009). Goff started 154 of his 171 career games in the league after he was drafted in the third round of the 1998 NFL Draft following his collegiate career at Iowa. Goff was a four-year letterman for the Hawkeyes and started his final two seasons under Coach Hayden Fry.
