University of Minnesota linebacker Cody Lindenberg has accepted an invitation to compete in the Reese's Senior Bowl. Lindenberg will join fellow Gophers Aireontae Ersery and Jah Joyner in the showcase bowl.
Lindenberg finished the season with a team-leading 94 tackles and added five tackles for loss and one sack. He broke up three passes and recorded one interception en route to being named All-Big Ten First Team by the league coaches.
The Anoka, Minn., native played in 38 career games for the Gophers and made 209 tackles. He added 12.5 tackles for loss, two sacks, nine pass breakups, one interception and one forced fumble.
Minnesota has had at least one Reese's Senior Bowl invite for each of the last six seasons (2019-2024), which is the longest stretch in school history. Prior to Lindenberg, Ersery and Joyner, the following nine players were invited to attend the week-long evaluation period: Carter Coughlin (2019), Kamal Martin (2019), Benjamin St-Juste (2020), Daniel Faalele (2021), Boye Mafe (2021), Esezi Otomewo (2021), John Micael Schmitz (2022), Tyler Nubin (2023) and Brevyn Spann-Ford (2023). Eight of those nine players were on an NFL roster during the 2024 season.
The 2025 Reese's Senior Bowl will be played at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 1 at Hancock Whitney Stadium in Mobile, Ala., and will be broadcast on the NFL Network.
