The Department of Athletics for the University of Washington and Washington State University are proud to announce a five-year extension of Boeing's title sponsorship of the Boeing Apple Cup, which aligns with the scheduling commitment from both schools to continue the renowned football rivalry through the 2028 season.

"Boeing Apple Cup serves as a prominent illustration of our longtime collaboration with WSU and UW," said Bill McSherry, Vice President, Boeing State & Local Government Operations. "These influential institutions drive positive change for our communities and for the students who attend these exceptional schools. Thousands of Boeing teammates are proud Husky and Coug grads and we stand behind this longstanding tradition."

This year's Boeing Apple Cup will take place at 12:30pm on September 14, at Lumen Field in Seattle, with the following four games alternating between the school's campuses: 2025 (Pullman), 2026 (Seattle), 2027 (Pullman), 2028 (Seattle).

"We appreciate Boeing's continued support of this time-honored tradition, which dates back 115 years," said UW Director of Athletics Pat Chun. "Boeing's long-standing commitment to not only this game, but advancements in higher education at both universities is truly special."

"Both the Apple Cup and Boeing are synonymous with the state of Washington," said WSU Interim Director of Athletics Anne McCoy. "Washington State Athletics is appreciative of Boeing's continued commitment to this storied rivalry that has delivered so many lasting memories over the years. Go Cougs!"

In addition to supporting the Apple Cup football game, the Boeing-sponsored "Engineering the Play" content series will continue with both schools, which breaks down monumental game moments, and provides unique insights from current and former student-athletes on how those plays happened. Boeing will also maintain a presence during the Men's and Women's Basketball season at both schools and provide unique opportunities for their employees to participate and show their pride in UW and WSU athletics.
