Alan Bowman is back for a seventh year of college football and a second year at Oklahoma State after receiving an extension of his eligibility due to his season ending injury in 2019.
With 29 starts and 39 games played between stops at Texas Tech, Michigan and OSU, he is the leader of the group and favorite to win the job again in 2024. Despite limited playing time in the first three games of 2023, he finished second in the Big 12 in passing yards per game and led the conference in attempts and completions. He averaged 285.9 passing yards per game in Big 12 play, had five 300-yard passing games and produced the seventh-highest single-season passing total in school history (3,460) and the third-highest against Power Five opponents in the FBS (3,338).
He'll compete with Garret Rangel, who has four career starts, Zane Flores, who is coming off a redshirt season, and a highly recruited true freshman in Maealiuaki Smith for the starting quarterback job.
