The Oklahoma State Cowboys football team travels south to Norman to take on the Oklahoma Sooners at Gaylord Family – Oklahoma Memorial Stadium for the sixth installment of the 2022-23 all-sport Phillips 66 Bedlam Series.

Saturday's game marks the 117th matchup between the Cowboys and Sooners in one of the longest-tenured rivalry in college football. The 2022 season will also mark the 113th straight season the teams have faced off. Oklahoma holds an 89-20-7 record in the series, including a 43-10-2 advantage in Norman.

Oklahoma State won last year's game in a 37-33 thriller between top-10 teams to cap off an undefeated regular season at Boone Pickens Stadium. Spencer Sanders accounted for 316 yards of total offense with a pair of touchdowns, one through the air and one on the ground. Brennan Presley became the third Cowboy ever to record a 100-yard kickoff return for a touchdown early in the second quarter to give the Cowboys a 21-14 lead. Oklahoma State went ahead for good after a Jaylen Warren touchdown with just over eight minutes to go in the game. The Cowboy defense rose to the occasion as it had all season long to hold OU scoreless in the fourth quarter and put the game away when Collin Oliver sacked OU's Caleb Williams on fourth down with eight seconds remaining.

Oklahoma enters Saturday's game 5-5 overall and 2-5 in Big 12 play, still needing a win to secure bowl eligibility in Brent Venables' first year as head coach. Oklahoma State is 7-3 overall and 4-3 in conference play, coming off of a late rally in last week's 20-14 win over Iowa State, which snapped a two-game losing skid. A win on Saturday would mark the first back-to-back wins against OU since the 1997 and 1998 season. Coach Mike Gundy is 3-14 against the Sooners, while Oklahoma coach Brent Venables enters his first Bedlam game as head coach. Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m. and will be televised on ABC.
