Cal seniors Mathew Cindric, Jack Plummer and Daniel Scott were selected Wednesday to the 2023 Senior Bowl Watchlist. This season's game will be played at Hancock Whitney Stadium on the campus of the University of South Alabama in Mobile, televised live on NFL Network and held Feb. 4, 2023.

The Golden Bears have a long association with the prestigious college all-star game as Cal has had 40 all-time selections since the contest's inception in 1950 including most recently Camryn Bynum and Jake Curhan in 2021. Cameron Jordan was inducted into the Senior Bowl Hall of Fame in 2021 while Davis Webb was the MVP of the 2017 contest and Jim Carmichael the first Cal player selected in 1956.

Matthew Cindric, OL, 6-4, 295, R-Sr., 5th Season At Cal (Sammamish, WA/Skyline HS)
— A preseason All-Pac-12 third-team (Athlon), fourth-team (Phil Steele) and honorable mention (Pac-12 Media) selection, as well as a member of the preseason Rimington Trophy and Senior Bowl watch lists prior to his 2022 senior campaign
— One of two Cal student-athlete representatives along with Daniel Scott at 2022 Pac-12 Football Media Day
— Has played in 28 games with 27 starts over the past three seasons with 14 starts at right guard and 13 at center including 11 of 12 contests during his 2021 junior campaign when he earned honorable mention All-Pac-12 honors from the league's coaches
— Helped Cal roll up over 500 yards of total offense in three contests as a 2021 junior (636 at Stanford, 534 vs. Sacramento State, 517 vs. Oregon State) and more than 200 yards rushing on four occasions (352 at Stanford, 255 vs. Oregon State, 246 vs. Sacramento State, 213 vs. Colorado)
— Helped Cal break a Big Game record as a 2021 junior with 636 total yards of offense that were its most since also compiling 636 in a double overtime home win over Oregon in 2016, while the Golden Bears' 352 rushing yards against the Cardinal were their most since rushing for 431 against Washington in 2008

Jack Plummer, QB, 6-5, 215, R-Sr., 1st Season At Cal, 5th Collegiate Season (Gilbert, AZ/Purdue/Gilbert HS)
— A member of the preseason Senior Bowl watch list prior to his 2022 senior campaign
— Played in 21 games with 13 starts over the final three seasons of his four campaigns at Purdue from 2018-21 and completed 319-of-492 passes (64.8%) for 3405 yards with 26 touchdowns and 10 interceptions for a 136.35 quarterback rating
— Played in a career-high-tying nine games including starts in each of the first four and helped his squad post a 3-1 record in those contests as a 2021 junior when he completed 87-of-127 passes (68.5%) for 864 yards with seven touchdowns and no interceptions for a 143.84 quarterback rating playing for a team that finished 9-4 overall and defeated Tennessee in the Transperfect Music City Bowl
— Averaged 312.7 passing yards per game as a 2020 sophomore when he played in and started the final three games of the season and completed 88-of-124 passes (70.9%) for 938 yards with eight touchdowns and two interceptions for a 152.57 quarterback rating
— Registered all his single-season career-high numbers for an entire campaign as a 2019 sophomore when he played in seven games with six starts and completed 144-of-241 passes for 1603 yards with 11 touchdowns and eight interceptions

— One of three sixth-year seniors on the 2022 Cal roster and the lone current member of the Golden Bears' program who began his collegiate career at Cal in Justin Wilcox's first season as head coach in 2017
— Has played in 37 career games with 16 starts at Cal over the last four seasons after redshirting as a true freshman in 2017 and registered totals of 122 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss (-37 yards), 1.0 sack (-27 yards), one forced fumble, four interceptions he has returned for six yards and one touchdown, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, two quarterback hurries and three pass breakups
