The University of Louisville football team concluded its 2022 Spring Practice with a scrimmage on Sunday inside Cardinal Stadium.
Head Coach Scott Satterfield put the team through a regular practice until the final half of the afternoon was spent conducting a controlled scrimmage. It was the last of 15 spring practices for the Cardinals who are coming off a 6-7 season and return 16 starters.
Under sunny skies, approximately 3,500 people attended practice and saw their first glimpse of the 2022 Cardinals. The first units squared off against each other for six series, while the second units also saw the same amount of time.
"I appreciate everyone that came out today," Satterfield said. "It was a great crowd and a beautiful way to end spring practice. We had a good spring and got a lot accomplished as we head into summer conditioning and fall camp."
Running back Jalen Mitchell led the offense with three touchdowns, while linebackers Dorian Jones and Marvin Dallas recorded interceptions.
Sunday closed spring practice as the Cards look toward the 2022 season opener at Syracuse.
The Cardinals will take off the next month before starting summer conditioning at the end of May.
