Bad news for fans of Texas A&M Football, and I'm not just talking about Oklahoma and Texas joining the SEC. The latest hit to the Aggies comes in the form of five-star linebacker Harold Perkins announcing he has decommitted from Texas A&M.

Perkins, the No. 4 overall prospect in the class of 2022, is the nation's top outside linebacker and was expected to make an impact early in College Station.

Coming in at 6-foot-3 and 210-pounds, the Cypress Park High School (Texas) product announced his plans to attend Texas A&M at the Under Armour All-America Game earlier this month. The Aggies still have an impressive class coming in with defensive tackle Walter Nolen, the nation's No. 1 prospect overall bolstering things. He is joined by fellow five-stars - receiver Evan Stewart and defensive tackle Gabe Brownlow-Dindy.

Now that Perkins has reopened his recruitment, the linebacker intends to visit LSU this weekend. The five-star recruit also recently made a visit to Florida's campus to meet with new head coach Billy Napier.

As it stands now, Perkins isn't likely to make his official announcement until the first day of the National Signing Period in February.
