Scott Frost is living on borrowed time at Nebraska, but the good news for the Husker head coach is that at least the bank has extended his loan, so to speak. I like-a-da metaphors. Scott Frost is currently in his sixth season as a head coach, and the guy has only managed to put together one campaign where his team didn't finish below .500.

No matter how you look at that, it's a sh*t job performance. It means the guy has only managed to do his job once in six years. And it's important to note that Scott Frost had a healthy McKenzie Milton at UCF the one time the head coach managed anything other than a losing season in the record books. Even Gene Chizik managed to look somewhat competent when he had Cam Newton Auburn. A great college quarterback can really cover up just how pathetically bad a college head coach really is; that's all I'm saying. Urban Meyer, anyone?

We can sit around all day and point out examples of why Scott Frost should be fired, but Huskers fans need some positivity...

So they better look somewhere else, cause they're stuck with this loser (not an opinion, just going off his record). Nebraska AD Trev Alberts, whose name screams jerky son of the ski slope owner that is trying to shutdown the community center in an 80s movie, is standing behind Frost. Although, the NU AD is doing it with a restructured contract that likely makes firing the head coach a little easier in 2022.

Checkout statements from Trev "80s Bully" Alberts and Scott "You're Stuck With Me" Frost below:

Statement from Nebraska Vice Chancellor, Director of Athletics Trev Alberts:
"In my four months at Nebraska, I have closely observed our football team, and had several productive discussions with Coach Frost. Scott has laid out a clear plan and vision for the future of Nebraska Football and has agreed to a restructured contract. I am excited to continue to work together with Scott. We share a love of Nebraska and this football program and want nothing more than Nebraska Football to again compete for championships.

"We all recognize our record has not been what anyone wants it to be. I have been clear that I have been looking for incremental progress, and I have seen that in several key areas this season. Our team has continued to compete at a high level and the young men in our program have remained unified and shown great resiliency, which is an important reflection of the leadership of Coach Frost and his staff."

Statement from Nebraska Head Coach Scott Frost:
"I appreciate the confidence Trev Alberts has shown in me to continue to lead this program. I love this state, this football program and am honored and humbled for the opportunity to serve as the head coach at my alma mater. Our immediate focus is on the two games ahead against Wisconsin and Iowa, and the opportunity in front of us to build momentum heading into the offseason and 2022. I understand we have not won at a high enough level, but I am confident our football program will continue to take steps forward."
