Summer is in full-swing with college sports slowing down in anticipation of new seasons beginning in just a few weeks. So, we've been trying to find ways to fill the time here on BCSNN.

One way to erase our boredom has been to look at concept designs for some of our favorite teams, and we're continuing that trend today with Texas Tech.

The Red Raiders have been a member of the Big 12 since its founding in 1994 (although things didn't officially start until 1996). Before that, Tech was making waves in the Southwest Conference.

But enough about the history lesson; let's get to the shoes.

Texas Tech sports one of the most classic color combinations in college sports with the always fashionable red and black. So, we kept things simple on this first Nike Air Force 1 concept.

Stained glass adds a touch of class to any structure. I heard that on PBS' This Old House, and tried it with this shoe. Once again, PBS is to blame.

If there is one thing Texas Tech fans love, it's gray variations of the Red Raiders' uniforms. I repeated this lie to myself as I created this concept featuring the Masked Rider...
