Parker Fox, who was a Division II All-American at Northern State, is going to be a Gopher.

The Mahtomedi, Minn., native played three seasons at Northern State in Aberdeen, S.D., and developed into on of the most exciting players in college basketball.

The 6-8, 210-pound dynamo is well known for his high-flying and electric dunks, but he has developed into a well-rounded player.

"Parker grew up a Gopher fan and this program means so much to him," said head coach Ben Johnson. "I am excited that he is able to live out his childhood dreams of wearing the Maroon and Gold and that the next time he is in Williams Arena it will be as a member of the team and not a fan. That is really cool. Parker is a high-energy player who will bring extreme athleticism to our program. He has always had passion for the game and loves to compete. Parker has developed tremendously since high school and worked hard to become an All-American at Northern State and a coveted transfer in the portal. I know Parker is excited to see how his skills translate to the Big Ten level and I am as well."

Fox played three years for the Wolves and started 54 of the 86 games he saw action in. He ended his career averaging 16.9 points and 7.7 rebounds in 26.2 minutes of action.

As a junior, he started all 21 games and averaged 22.3 points, while shooting 64.4% from the field. He also averaged 9.9 rebounds, 3.5 blocks and 1.7 steals per game as he helped lead the Wolves to a 19-2 record and to a berth in the Central Region championship game.

Fox averaged 19.9 points in 32 starts during his sophomore season and also added 8.8 rebounds per game. He shot a team best 60.5% from the field and led the Wolves with 75 blocks. Fox tallied 12 double-doubles and was named the NSIC Defensive Player of the Year and was a member of the All-Conference first team.

He played in 33 games – starting one – as a freshman and led the team off the bench with 10.5 points and 5.3 rebounds per game. Fox redshirted the 2017-18 season.

Fox was a standout at Mahtomedi High School where he was a two-year starter and team captain for the Zephyrs. He is the Mahtomedi school record holder in points per game (22), points in a season (538), and points in one game (39). Fox was also a high jumper for the Zephyrs where he has reached the state tournament and set the conference record.
