The top-seeded Baylor Bears are headed to the 2021 men's national championship game thanks to an impressive performance against the Houston Cougars, resulting in a 78-59 Final Four win for Scott Drew's team.

The final score hardly paints an accurate picture of the first NCAA men's semifinal game in two years.

Houston's lone lead of the game came less than four minutes into the action when Marcus Sasser put the Coogs up, 8-6, with 16:48 left in the first half. From that point forward, it was all Baylor.

One major key to the Bears' success was the performance Scott Drew got out of his bench. The BU bench outscored Houston's, 32-11, with Matthew Mayer chipping in 12 points and Jonathan Tchamwa Tchatchoua adding another 11 in reserve.

UH looked sluggish early and ended up in a hole too deep to dig itself out of. American Athletic Conference Player of the Year, Quentin Grimes, scored all of his 13in the second half, but it was too little, too late.

Jared Butler scored 17 points, but it was definitely a team effort as the Bears had five players score in double figures.

The win for Baylor means that the Bears will be playing in the national championship game for the first time since 1948.
