Torching the nets all night, the 12th-ranked Baylor men had seven players score in double figures in blowing out the Sam Houston Bearkats, 104-67, Tuesday night in the Bears' home opener at the Foster Pavilion.

Jayden Nunn led the way for the second-straight game with 19 points, going 5-for-8 from outside the arc, while Norchad Omier and freshman VJ Edgecombe recorded double-doubles and combined for 31 points and 10 boards.

Baylor had a double-digit lead in the first seven minutes and had a comfortable 54-37 lead at the half, shooting a sizzling 64.7% overall and 42.8% from 3-point range as Nunn hit his first three from distance.

Blowing the game open in the second half, the Bears led by as many as 40 and were able to clear the bench for the last three minutes of the game.

Jeremy Roach had 12 points and eight assists, Josh Ojianwuna added 11 points and Rob Wright and Jason Celestine scored 10 points apiece in Baylor's balanced attack.

Lamar Wilkerson was the leading scorer for the Bearkats (1-2), hitting five 3-pointers and scoring 17 of his team-high 19 points in the first half.

Finishing off a two-game homestand, Baylor will face Tarleton (0-3) at 7 p.m. Sunday in the back end of a split doubleheader with the women. Nicki Collen's 17th-ranked Bears (1-1) will host East Texas A&M on Thursday and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi at 1 p.m. Sunday at Foster Pavilion.
