The University of Dayton men's basketball team cruised to an 80-66 win at home over Davidson on Tuesday behind a balanced scoring attack that placed six players in double figures.

All five starters reached double digits, but the Flyers were led by Koby Brea, who scored his team-high 17 points in 27 minutes off the bench.

Dayton, ranked 21st in this week's AP poll and 20th in the Coaches poll, improves to 22-5 overall and 12-3 in the Atlantic 10.  UD is tied for second in the A-10 with Loyola.  Davidson falls to 15-13, and 5-10 in conference.

GAME RECAP
First Half - Dayton 40, Davidson 21
•    Davidson struck first with a pair of free throws in the first 50 seconds of the game, and scored the first six points of the contest
•    After a quiet three minutes, Enoch Cheeks got the Flyers on the board
•    Davidson led 8-4 at the first media timeout at the 15:53 mark.
•    UD would score the next 10 points and take the lead for good.
•    Koby Brea got Dayton rolling with a big three-pointer which tightened  the gap to 8-7
•    Cheeks gives the Flyers the lead for the first time six minutes into in the game, 9-8.
•    Nate Santos continued the Dayton scoring run with a made and-1 basket. 14-8
•    Javon Bennett came out loud after the timeout to give the Flyers the 21-10 lead and extend the run to 17-2. 
•    The Flyers ended the half hitting seven of their last 10 field goals.
•    Dayton out-shot Davidson 61% (17-28) to 32% (9-28).

2nd Half – Dayton 80, Davidson 66
•    The Wildcats scored the first five points of the second half, but DaRon Holmes II made his presence known with a dunk two minutes into the second to get the Flyers rolling. 
•    Kobe Elvis found Holmes for an alley-oop dunk off of the pick-and-roll at the 16:33 mark
•    Bennett kept Dayton moving with a trey with 14:30 to go to give Dayton its biggest lead of the night, 54-32.  
•    Brea got the Arena roaring with a another three-pointer from the top of the key. That was his fifth three pointer of the night.
•    Bennett came out of the break draining a corner three which gave the Flyers a 62-42 lead with 9:55 on the clock
•    Elvis hit a three to become the fifth Flyer to have double-digit scoring. This was followed by a Santos three pointer which made him the sixth Flyer to reach double figures, with 3:33 left.  At that point, the only players to score for UD were the six players in double figures.
•    Dayton led by 20 (78-58) as late as 2:10 remaIning on a Petras Padegimas free throw.
•    C.J. Napier closed the scoring with tip-in with 27 seconds to go.  

BY THE NUMBERS
•    6 - Six Flyers produced double-digit scoring nights.  Koby Brea scored 17 (14 in the first half), Enoch Cheeks had 15 (11 in the first half), Kobe Elvis had 11, and DaRon Holmes II and Nate Santos each added 10.
•    10 - Daron Holmes II had 10 rebounds to lead UD and record his ninth double-double of the season.
•    5 - Kobe Elvis dished a game-high five assists.
•   4 -- Cheeks had four steals, matching his best effort in a Flyer uniform.
•   11 - Dayton outrebounded Davidson by 11, 38-27.
•   10 - UD had 10 second-chance points to Davidson's zero.  
•   40 - The Flyers scored 40 points in each half.
•   20 - Dayton improved to 20-0 when leading with five minutes left in the game.
