Shane Dezonie, a 6-5, 215-pound guard who played last season at Vanderbilt, has signed a men's basketball aid agreement to attend Temple University, announced head coach Aaron McKie. Dezonie has three seasons of eligibility remaining.
"We are excited to welcome Shane to the Temple Basketball family," said McKie. "Shane is a multitalented guard who has great perimeter range and can finish in traffic. He is also a strong defender who fits into the culture of our program."
Dezonie, a four-star recruit out of Brewster Academy (N.H.), played in 35 games, making two starts, for the Commodores as a freshman last season. The Tobyhanna, Pa. native averaged 2.4 points, 1.6 rebounds and 10.9 minutes per game while shooting 14-of-25 from three-point range (.560). His season scoring high came against Georgia on March 9 when he tallied 10 points on four-of-five shooting from the field (2-of-3 from 3pt) in 16 minutes of action.
