Next man up. No excuses.
Down two starters due to COVID protocols, No. 24 Oklahoma rose to the challenge Saturday, topping No. 9 Alabama 66-61 for its third straight top-10 win.
According to ESPN Stats & Info, Oklahoma is the first team since 1974 — and the third team ever — with four regular-season wins over top-10 opponents in the same month.
De'Vion Harmon led the Sooners with 18 points, while Elijah Harkles had 14, including a clutch turnaround jumper with 12.4 seconds left to seal the victory. Mo Gibson and Brady Manek both had 12 to round out the Sooners in double figures.
Now 11-4 with three straight wins over top-10 teams and four total in the month of January, the schedule doesn't get any easier as OU travels to No. 12 Texas Tech Monday night.
