Alabama closer Chase Lee was selected to the NCBWA Stopper of the Year Midseason Watch List, the members of the association announced on Wednesday afternoon.
Lee is one of 65 pitchers selected to the midseason list for the award that is presented annually to the nation's top relief pitcher. Finalists for the Stopper of the Year will be named on Wednesday, June 9 with the winner being selected on Saturday, June 19 at the 2021 College World Series.

- Added four saves in as many chances to tie for the seventh in the league
- Appeared in a team-high 14 games totaling 25.0 innings
- Maintains a team-low 1.44 ERA (4 ER)
- Worked 2.0 or more frames on six occasions and struck out at least two batters in 12 outings
- Began the 2021 campaign with 11 straight outings and 20.1 innings of work without allowing a run
