Student-athletes from K-State, Oklahoma State and TCU were honored with Big 12 Baseball awards for their performances in Week 10.

Oklahoma State’s Christian Encarnacion-Strand was tabbed the Big 12 Player of the Week, while K-State right-hander Connor McCullough garnered Pitcher of the Week. TCU’s Phillip Sikes was named the Newcomer of the Week. A five-person media panel selects the honorees.

Encarnacion-Strand led the Big 12 on the week in hits (10), RBIs (8), total bases (26) and slugging percentage (1.368). He hit .526 (10-of-19) in five games and had three home runs, three doubles and two triples. The sophomore became just the fifth OSU player in the Big 12 era and first since 2017 to hit for the cycle when he achieved the feat against UAPB. He went 5-for-5 with two home runs to go along with a single, double and triple in the series opener. He also singled in the opening game of the Texas series to extend his hitting streak to 19 games, the longest by an OSU player since 2013, and smacked his 15th home run of the season in the win over No. 3 Texas in series finale.

McCullough helped the Wildcats rebound from a series-opening loss in extra innings, as K-State claimed the weekend series from the Mountaineers. The freshman carried a no-hitter into the sixth inning in K-State's 5-2 win over West Virginia Saturday, retiring 16 of the first 17 hitters he faced. McCullough's day ended with just one hit and one run allowed over a career-high-tying seven innings pitched. He struck out eight without issuing a walk in his third quality start of the season.

Sikes hit .538 in the series win over Kansas (7-of-13). Six of his seven hits on the weekend went for extra bases. In the series opener, the junior registered three extra-base hits, including his first career multiple home run game. Sikes doubled and scored to open the five-run second in Game 1, then he homered in his next two at-bats, a lead-off in the third and a three-run shot in the fourth. He followed up with another homer in game two and added an RBI double. Sikes finished with a double in the series finale, extending his reached base streak to 28 games.

Encarnacion-Strand collected his second Player of the Week award. McCullough and Sikes are first-time honorees.
