Miami University head coach Chris Bergeron has announced seven new additions to his hockey program. Along with previously announced signees Frankie Carogioiello and John Waldron, the nine newcomers will join the RedHawks' roster for the 2022-23 season.
Zane Demsey, Max Dukovac, Michael Feenstra, William Hallén, Axel Kumlin, Blake Mesenburg and Artur Turansky have all submitted their official letters of intent.
The group of incoming freshmen is highlighted by four members of the Dubuque Fighting Saints (USHL) 2021-22 roster: Demsey, Feenstra, Hallén and Kumlin.
"The Miami Hockey program is excited to add these young men to our hockey family," said Bergeron. "They all have an opportunity to make an impact on our program both on and off the ice, and we are looking forward to getting started."
The RedHawks begin the 2022-23 campaign at home vs. Ferris State on Saturday, October 1.

- Played for Dubuque Fighting Saints in 2020-21 and 2021-22 seasons
- Had a +34 rating in 2021-22 and dished out 19 assists that season

- Finished fourth among league rookies in scoring, racking up 59 points (17-42-59) during 51 regular-season games and adding 14 points (6-8-14) in 15 playoff games
- Named BCHL's 3rd Star of the Month in February
- Named BCHL's 3rd Star of the Week Feb. 28 after putting up nine points (4-5-9) in three-game span
- Put up 21 points (10-11-21) for Chicago Mission 18U AAA club in 2019-20
- Earned All-State and All-Conference recognition in 2019

- Put up 66 points (28-38-66) in 60 games for Lone Star with a +25 rating, finishing among league's top 10 scorers
- Added seven points (2-5-7) in nine playoff games for the Brahmas
- Also spent 2019-20 season in NAHL, splitting time with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton and Corpus Christi
- Tallied 31 points (15-16-31) in 45 games that year between the two clubs
