Former Duke offensive guard Chance Lytle and cornerback Datrone Young have been invited to respective NFL rookie minicamps.
Lytle has been invited to the New York Giants camp, which begins Friday, while Young received an invitation to join the Miami Dolphins camp, which is scheduled for either May 5-8 or May 12-15.
Both Lytle (Colorado) and Young (Iowa State) joined the Blue Devil program as graduate transfers after five-year stints at their previous institutions.
Lytle started all 13 games at both right and left guard in 2022 and helped the offense accumulate 2,394 rushing and 3,010 passing yards. He blocked for a Duke attack to register 31 rushing touchdowns, which set a program record for a single season. In addition, the San Antonio, Texas, product helped anchor an offensive line unit that ranked first in the ACC in sacks allowed (17) and tackles for loss allowed (51).
Young started and played in 12 games last season, compiling 45 tackles, 1.0 tackles for loss, one interception, one fumble recovery and a team-leading seven PBUs. The Delray Beach, Fla., native recorded two-plus tackles in 11 games and four-plus tackles in five. He added a career-high 10 tackles against Wake Forest and posted a season-high three pass breakups at Northwestern.
