The reigning Conference USA regular season champion North Texas men's basketball team has been sent its 2022-23 league schedule.
The Mean Green — who won a program-best 16 league games last year — and the 10 other schools in C-USA will now play 20 league games this coming season opposed to 18, which has been the total in recent years. UNT will play every league opponent twice — once at home and once on the road.
Another new characteristic to the league schedule is occasional games will now be played on Mondays and Wednesdays whereas last year games were mostly played on Thursday and Saturdays.
North Texas' first league opponent this coming season will be UTSA on Dec. 22 in San Antonio. This marks the first time UNT has played a conference game before Christmas since joining the league in 2013. The Mean Green swept UTSA last season and have won four of the last five against the Roadrunners.
UNT's 20th and last conference game of the 2022-23 season is on March 4 with a home game versus WKU. North Texas beat the Hilltoppers in their only meeting last year, 65-60.
All Mean Green men's basketball games can be streamed on the Mean Green Sports Network presented by LEARFIELD on the Varsity Network app. Game times and television broadcasts will be announced at a later date.
