Boston College baseball received the two-seed in the Tuscaloosa Regional, hosted by Alabama, in the NCAA Tournament as announced. The Eagles (35-18) return to the tournament field for the first time since 2016 and are making their 12th overall appearance.
Number-16 overall seed Alabama and Boston College are joined by three-seed Troy, which BC will play in its opener at 3 p.m. ET on Friday, and four-seed Nicholls. The regionals are scheduled to be played June 2-5.
Boston College 's 35 overall wins are the second most in program history, including a program-best 16 wins in ACC play.
The Eagles are 23-23 all-time in the NCAA Tournament with four trips to the College World Series; most recently in 1967. This year's regional marks the second consecutive NCAA trip BC will make to an opponent out of the SEC after Boston College won the Oxford Regional hosted by Mississippi in 2016.
BC has never played any of the three teams in its region.
