Wake Forest junior righthander Rhett Lowder was named Atlantic Coast Conference Pitcher of the Week, as announced by the league on Monday afternoon.
Lowder received his second ACC weekly accolade of the season and the third honor of his career after propelling Wake Forest to its sixth ACC series victory of the season against No. 8 Louisville on Saturday.
Overall, Wake Forest has received six ACC Player or Pitcher of the Week awards this season.

Lowder moved to 7-0 on the season, blanking the Cardinals over seven innings with nine strikeouts. Lowder allowed just five base runners as the reigning ACC Pitcher of the Year notched his second outing of the season with no walks.
The Albemarle, N.C. native registered perfect frames in the second, fourth, sixth and allowed more than one base runner in just one inning.
Lowder, Michael Massey and Camden Minacci combined to shutout the Cardinals, the second time the team has been held scoreless this year. Lowder's performance helped Wake Forest win its first series ever at Louisville and clinch its sixth-straight ACC series to open the 2023 season. Additionally, the Demon Deacons became the first team since 2021 to claim a series inside Jim Patterson Stadium.
The win helped Lowder move into the top 10 in program history in career victories, tying Warren Newton and Moe Bauer for the ninth-most victories by a Demon Deacon ever.
Additionally, after joining the top 10 list for career strikeouts two weeks ago, Lowder moved into a tie with Ross Atkins for the seventh-most career strikeouts by a Demon Deacon.
Dating back to last season, Lowder has allowed three earned runs or less in 23 of his last 25 starts and has gone at least six innings in 16 starts.
This season, the Reigning ACC Pitcher of the Year has accumulated a 1.61 ERA in 56.0 innings to go along with 67 strikeouts.
The righthander has blanked opponents four times this season, while walking no more than two batters just once this year.
Wake Forest returns to David F. Couch Ballpark on Wednesday, April 19 as the Deacs welcome Liberty for the final matchup of the season between the two teams.
